Videnda Imagery Analysis Ltd is an imagery analysis consultancy founded and operated in Cambridgeshire by the former Military Intelligence analyst, Clive Evans.
Clive served for over 23 years as a Royal Air Force Imagery Analyst, including over 7 years as an instructor at the UK's School of Imagery Analysis. In 2010 he retired from the RAF and made the transition to the forensic application of imagery analysis. As a forensic imagery analyst and expert witness, he has provided specialist support nationwide to both prosecution and defence cases and has been fortunate to have gained a reputation as one of the UK's leading expert witnesses in the imagery analysis discipline.
The company name "Videnda" is a link back to Clive's imagery analysis roots. He trained and subsequently served as an instructor at the Joint School of Photographic Interpretation (JSPI) and the crest of this unit bears the latin motto Videnda - "That which is to be seen."
Background & Experience - Clive Evans GCGI, CFVT
- Trained in imagery analysis at various stages of his military career in the Royal Air Force between 1986 and 2010.
- Senior Imagery Analysis instructor responsible for the training of UK Tri-Service personnel, International students, reservists, civilians and trainees in the field of Imagery Analysis.
- In 2010, whilst still in RAF service, Clive was headhunted by a London based forensic company and spent the following four years as a forensic expert witness in the city.
- In May 2014 he was headhunted by LGC, now Eurofins Forensic Services, where he was employed as the Lead Imagery Investigator within the Forensic Imagery team at Fordham in Cambridgeshire.
- In 2018 Clive completed two courses provided by the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association [LEVA] which were conducted at Nottingham Trent University. Following completion of these courses, Level 1 – Forensic Video Analysis & the Law and Level 2 – Digital Multimedia Evidence Processing, he was awarded the qualification of Certified Forensic Video Technician [CFVT].
- In September 2019 he formed his own consultancy, Videnda Imagery Analysis Ltd.
- Produced an average of over 50 reports per year for the prosecution and defence nationwide, and has given expert evidence at the Central Criminal Court, other Crown Courts and was also engaged as the imagery analysis expert witness for the Al Sweady Inquiry.
- Clive is a Graduate of the City & Guilds Institute, a member of the Forensic Imagery Analysis Division of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and also a member of the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association [LEVA].
